Grandstream IPVideoTalk Receives WebRTC Product of the Year Award


The growth Web Real-time Communications (WebRTC) is experiencing surged after Microsoft and Apple chose to integrate the application into their browsers. According to a recent forecast released by Transparency Market Research, it is expecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.30 percent between 2017 and 2025, reaching $81.52B by the end of 2025. With this type of potential, service providers are launching their own WebRTC services.  Grandstream Networks launched its WebRTC solution called IPVideoTalk this year, and it received TMC's 2017 WebRTC Product of the Year Award for exceptional innovation in providing video, audio and Web conferencing.

IPVideoTalk has leveraged the flexibility and agnostic capabilities of WebRTC technology to provide full conferencing capability with audio, video, data and screen sharing with any browser that is enabled with this app. With IPVideoTalk, users can get on any connected device, including smartphones, tablets, PCs or conference room systems on Windows or Mac, Android or iOS and initiate group meetings.

When IPVideoTalk was launched, David Li, CEO of Grandstream, said, “The launch of our IPVideoTalk Web Meeting platform represents the next step in our mission to make powerful, state-of-the-art communications technology easy and attainable for business of all sizes. We are excited for users throughout the world to experience the power, convenience, and cost-savings of IPVideoTalk Web Meetings.”

With IPVideoTalk, users can expect 720p HD video and HD audio, unlimited 1-to-1 meetings, screen sharing with collaborative document annotations at 1080p video resolution, real-time text communications and more.

Grandstream is making the service available with a free version for personal use supporting up to three participants. By October of 2017, the company says there will be different tiers which will support additional features, including anywhere from 25 to 100 participants depending on the service. Free trials for these versions will become available starting in June.
