IceWarp Gets Best All Around WebRTC Technology Award at WebRTC Conference & Expo IV

Many see the future of communication being powered by WebRTC, an open source platform that allows anyone to use audio, video and text in the browser without a plugin or any other propriety software. All you need is a WebRTC enabled browser and the smallest of business will be able to provide personalized customer service by talking face to face to its customers; the possibilities are endless. A WebRTC Conference & Expo IV, held June 17-19 at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, Georgia showcased the latest technology in the field and presented 10 winners in 11 categories with IceWarp receiving the "Best All Around" award.

The demo event was organized by TMC, Systemwide Media and PKE Consulting to provide accurate information so companies can implement WebRTC technology with the latest and most technically sound advice.

IceWarp is a global messaging solutions provider with an all-in-one security solution for a mobile workforce to communicate through any platform including chat, email, mobile synchronization, SMS, voice or video. The scalability of the platform allows it to be used by organizations of all sizes from SMB's to large corporations. It is s deployed in more than 20,000 organizations and supports over 50 million users globally.

The company received the "Best All Around" award at the conference for its Messaging Server and a pilot version of its IceWarp Mail for Cisco solution.

The Messaging Server is a Microsoft Exchange replacement combining email, security, instant messaging, VoIP and more into one integrated solution. The company stated its voice and video technology will be powered almost exclusively by WebRTC technology later in 2014.

IceWarp Mail for Cisco is a special edition of IceWarp Messaging Server using WebRTC technology to integrate directly with Cisco Unified Communications for applications such as voice, Cisco voicemail management, and instant messaging. It will replace Microsoft Exchange with a range of Cisco solutions, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), Cisco Unified Presence (CUP) or Cisco Business Edition 6000, a new on-premise collaboration solution.

"We are proud our technology resonated so well with industry experts. This award highlights IceWarp as a unique and innovation-driven company that replaces expensive and hard-to-manage messaging systems with cutting-edge solutions based on new technologies, such as WebRTC," said Ian Marshall, marketing at IceWarp.
