Ondello Powers Ornish Spectrum's Live Video Chat Systems

Using Web-based real time communications (WebRTC) is a rapidly evolving part of many companies' overall strategies, and one more has now made an appearance. To that end, Ondello announced earlier today that Ornish Spectrum, a major brand in terms of wellness, would be turning to Ondello's communications platform to take advantage of the capabilities that WebRTC can offer, particularly the video chatting systems, in a bid to help keep a variety of professionals in the field connected.

Putting WebRTC to work is especially important for the Ornish Spectrum, since it depends on a philosophy that certain changes in one's lifestyle can both prevent and even, in some cases, reverse diseases and conditions previously thought chronic. With WebRTC, healthcare professionals can better keep in touch with both each other and with their patients with communications tools that are easily accessible so anyone with a Web browser can use them.

Ondello's communications platform also, according to the executive producer of the OrnishSpectrum.com platforms Anne Ornish, allows the Ornish Spectrum's communications capabilities to grow outward as WebRTC improves, something very likely to happen given the growth in the field and the increasing number of participants offering products and services in the WebRTC field. This allows Ornish Spectrum to better keep up its stated mission to provide support and education to those in the healthcare field.

Meanwhile, Ondello's founder and CEO, Mark Hadfield, underscored the importance of having some WebRTC capability in light of the rapid growth undertaken in the sector, and the increasing availability of new services related to WebRTC as more companies and individuals look to get in on the field as well.

Indeed, it makes no small amount of sense that a platform built on changes in lifestyle would all but require a way to keep easily connected to other professionals in the field. This is particularly true for all parts of the program; those making the lifestyle changes need an easy way to quickly ask questions about what to do instead of what it is they've always done, and those who provide information on the lifestyle changes need a way to quickly get that information back to those making the lifestyle changes. The potential lag involved with E-Mail may be too great to have the best possible impact, and when it comes to changing behaviors, a behavioral psychologist would certainly note the impact of rapid reinforcement.
